WOW
Ive never had to deal with layoffs somany times in such a short amount of time. Please keep us in your prayers moving forward.
My company is going through another round of Layoffs. I need peace in the next six weeks, I need to release this problem into God's hands and know that His will be done and will be done regardless of my worries.
Pray for me and the stressfull situation my family and I will be going through.

The Office is BACK baby
So Glad the office is back. Watched the first episodes last night, thought it was Hilarious. I wondered how long they could carry the Kevin is retarded thing. Dwight spraying all the treats down with whatever. Awsome Few shows do I find as funny as the office. However the proposal to Pam was laim.

Be the Pig
On the radio the other day I heard a commercial with a slogan "Be the Pig". At breakfast consisting of Bacon and Eggs the Chicken is involved but the pig is committed. I seemed to have sturred up the Hens with my remarks about High Fructose Corn Syrup, reusable bags at walmart and random "Go Green acts, point is that all of those things are fine and dandy but without commitment to carry them through I see them as pointless. Commit if your going to use the reusable bags, great but be dadgum committed to taking to Walmart and not using the plastic ones if thats your choice. If HFCS is your commitment then, be committed and make the choice on an educated basis and not the popular choice and truly figure out when and why your consumming the ingredients. These are two of a multitude of examples I could have chosen, Ya I chose these because they stir everybody up, which was also my intention sorry if you took offense and don't know me. I just get fed up with everybody talking about going "Green" and never commiting to any single act that they stick with. I like to think that if I choose to do one or any of the "Green" acts I would take example from the PIG. Sure this whole discussion leaves me open to be a hipocrit, So what. Meghann thinks I take everything to the extreme she accussed me of that in her most recent moment of frustration, to that I say thanks I'll be the Pig. I only ask that if your going to challenge yourself or decide to cut or add something, small or big be the Pig.
So I ask what kind of Pig are you? What are you committed to for this season and do you have sound reason or popular reason. I think both are fine but dadgum have a reason. Committments fade and that not always a bad thing so whats your season and what kind of nonsesical commitments are driving you nuts?

Challenge set forth
I had a program with one of the physicians I call on, and he set a challenge for me that I excepted. So in keeping with the spirit of setting challenging goals that has been running rampit through my families communication I say to you that I'am going to compete in the "Hotter than Hell 100" in Witchita Falls next year. For those unfamiliar it is a 100 mi bike race. It hurts my butt and back just thinking about it.
Currently I only ride about 20-25 a week which I will need to step up a bit, much to Meghann's chagrin. However I think I can balance less time in the gym lifting with more on the bike training. Granted it will get cold soon and that means even less riding. Windchill is horrible and the cold gets into every crack in your clothing.
On other notes have you seen the commercials expelling the virtues of High fructose corn syrup. I'm a big fan. I just wish more commercials would come out talking about the constant bombardment of things this country grew up on and became great with. I'm pretty tired of being told by the crazy nut jobs that were slowly killing ourselves and destroying our nutrition and they plan on fixing that for me. I think if you want to fix it for yourself and pay attention to what you eat fine, more for me. Stupid reusable bags at the grocery store, biodegradable shoes, pretend cars that go for years on a fart, with no power no thanks. I'll take my fructose, plastic bags, and a little power in my car when I whirr by you in your pretend car. No man can grunt and flex while getting into a pryus.
Just my opinion thanks for doing all those "Green efforts though" in fact please do more so someone can pull my weight.

Ladies I'm Back and your welcome
Well as a treat for all those interested I have returned from a long departure from the blogging world and I have returned, rest easy young Jedi. Vacation was a treat thanks for all those who participated, had a great time and it seems we timed the trip perfectly. If Meghann loaded the pictures on the disk drive I will attempt to display the trip for those interested.
This past weekend we decided to paint our bedroom AGAIN!!! which now means we have painted every room in the house save the bathrooms at least once. Some twice, bathrooms are slated for the near future. Everytime we paint I make my feelings towards painting clear, which is that of loathing, and My beutiful wife takes pitty and says she will paint if you will prep and move furniture. She does this knowing full well that she intends on reniging on this promise nad haveing me paint. It seems I am to prep move and paint the wall and when that is done I get to do the trim and delicate areas. I would like very much not to paint every again white is a delightful color and I am rather fond of it, however that is not to be.
Any ways Corinne just came back from Volleyball camp, and Blaize is having a birthday party at a Karate dojo. This should be fun teaching 10 4 year old how to be leathal which a kick and a punch sound like pain for daddy.

Road entertainment
Ladies and others,
As we embark on our little cruise for vacation Meghann and I have come to impasse in our relationship. She is a big music fan and I require a much more intellectual stimulant when I am driving. So I pose the question to you fine folks what is the fair and best compromise for our driving entertainment.
We have the options of:
Talk Radio which is fleeting do to the unreliability of the AM stations and the rural areas. But I do love the John Boy and Billy Show which if you have not been entertained by then please put down your thinking cap and prepare to be delighted. I also have included the Colin Cowherd show into my routines. Since we are travelling on the weekend Cowherd is out but the Best of John Boy and Billy is a possibility and then Van Peesy (spelling ?) is in the afternoon.
Music (Buzzing and clicking) Meghann would prefer the reverberating nonsense of her favorite popular music.
Books on tape which I think you have to be 50 to get into but since the Mother in Law is rolling with us it will pass. However, the content of which may drive one or all of us insane.
The BIG problem is I feel that as the driver or as I see it the protector of their lives. I should have a bigger say in the entertainment so that I am focused and alert on making sure that we do not run off a bridge embankment. Meghann feels that as the passenger she is entitled to being entertained while sitting in the navigators seat.
Mo in Law meanwhile is subject to the torture of sitting by the kids watching a movie with the kids or seeing one because of the lack of headphones, and hearing whatever the front seat decides is the most entertaining so because of all that torture I will take the responsibility of her vote.
MY QUESTION TO THE MASSES IS, WHAT IS THE BEST OVER THE ROAD ENTERTAINMENT? WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONGS RADIO SHOWS, OR STORIES FOR OUR DRIVING PLEASURE.
KEEP IN MIND IF YOU POST RIDICULOUS THINGS EVERYONE WILL SEE IT ON THIS BLOG. This is probably like one of the most visited sites on the net, I think.

Same old story B-Rad wins again.....
WOW I am amazing to be able to put together such a marvelous run and with complete humility that is amazing. Don't worry I did recognize what is now a tremendous streak in Meghann and My little game, with a small discrete victory dance.
I would also like to announce that I have hit my goal of 230lbs. Ya I know that still sounds like a BFG weight and it probably is but its mine so BACK OFF!
We are sans kids this week and it feels great I hung ceiling fans and lights about the house and then sat down and didn't know what to do, so I tried to tell Meghann to do stuff, like I would with the Kids around, but as usual she ignored me. That brought reality back in. I would like to say that we have big plans to do sans kids and all, but mostly I will go back to work and not feel guilty about spending extra time in the gym.
Looking forward to Port Aransas in a couple of weeks need to get all kinds of stuff for trip and hope that it somehow fits in the Mariner, if not I think we will be tying the kids to the roof, Meghann doesn't pack light. Either way it will be a treat and we are looking forward to the time away with family and what not.
Ill be back soon but I am going to go and gloat some more even though Meghann is not awake yet. Its safer for me that way.

I Win I Win I Win I Win I Win I Win I Win I Win!!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote "I Win allot because I love to here It when it applies to me I imagine myself standing High on a stage arms outstretched saying I won yes indeed I won, now all the people can rejoice I have brought victory to the people.
Today is a wonderful day I have won.
For every ones information I not only won but High won by 200%, so this week we decided that the prize should be something that is both cost and health conscious and since it seems the weekend we both dread preparing the meals and end up eating poorly the perfect prize should be the winners choice meal prepared by the loser. Fortunately I get the better end of this reward because I won and Meghann is a far superior cook than I except on the Grill where I have developed a certain mastery of the elements.
Today we will offer Meghann the chance to use the grilling surface, which should be a treat since she probably doesn't know how to turn it on. On the Menu is Bratwurst with sauerkraut and Grilled veggies of my choosing.
I would also like to send a big obnoxious noise to those of you who seemed to be cheering for my demise. I don't loose consecutively.
To all the Dad's happy Father's Day. Meghann got me a hammock to lay about in the yard with while the Chitlens play in the yard, at least that is my plan the Chitlens may have others, but I spent some time lounging yesterday and as the pale rider I am appropriately put sunscreen on my entire visible skin layers then went for a nap. Unfortunately the when laying in a hammock your feet are slightly elevated so the entire time I was napping I thought I wonder if the bottom of my feet will burn. Meghann believes that is more difficult because the skin is tougher, I think it may be easier because of the lack of exposure to the sun. This didn't turn out to be the problem, I forgot that when sitting with your feet above your head your shorts will rise up and expose the inner thigh to the treachery of the sun and its vicious rays. So now here I sit with burning thighs. Also when your a big Fat Guy you should spray the sun screen from below the belly, just a heads up for the other BFG's interested.
have a great one I will I'm with Meghann

where credit is due
Well she beat me and for those of you who know how hard that is for me to admit, then you should know that she not only beat me but beat me handily. She had a whole pound on me for the week. I think this week I will bring home some delightful treats to help her through the week. I also think that being stuck inside the house with two board kids may have helped her by giving her the extra exercise of trying to keep the monster entertained or quite. We experienced nearly Hurricane force winds and everyday was over 100 degrees. Wind by itself would suck but in Lubbock when the wind blows the dirt blows and the sky is red, its quite a treat.
Well she made be acknowledge her win and now we shall never speak of it again, I'm off to run laps around the house on by crumbling ankles and gimpy knee.
The good news is I am back to playing ball. It is good that for the past few years I have been more or less the big fat guy with an obsolete vertical game, that makes the adjustment to my current state slightly easier to take. However I have never had a problem with my brain telling me to stop it has usually been my body laughing at what my brain thinks can be done. Now my body says you can probably do that (I say probably because none of us are sure), and my brain says you are retarded just gimp along and we will be fine surgery sucked. So I am working through it, but I am not all that bright so my brain should be easy to fool.
have a great one

what should we play for
So Meghann and I decided to participate in our own family version of biggest loser. Thing is I prefer to play to win "You play to win the game". Each week we will lose weight and the person who loses the biggest percentage of weight will win the week. Last time we did this we had to quit b/c Meghann didn't like my winner dance and taunting that followed. I can work on that but we need a weekly prize that is not monotary, and a finally prize that is worth the effort. Hopefully by the end of this little 5 wk. game I won't look like such a beached whale by the time we go on vacation.
Any thoughts

Giving one to the people
I guess in order to get us started I will throw one in the pot. This will be my attempt to keep in touch with the digital nerds, and hopefully I can manage to keep some interest in this one. What will really help is participation so I will toss something out we can discuss. In Sunday school today we talked about what we are faithfull to, which led us down the roads of the definintion and an eb and flow talk, but after examining myself sadly I think most consistantly I'am faithfull to my job. This is something I could use some prayer on because after examining what I will leave as my legacy to my kids I would rather it be that Daddy prayed, played and learned with them instead of Daddy just works hard. Noah was faithfull to build a huge boat, but was only given such an extraordinary task because of his faithfullness to God. His kids didn't run off talking about Crazy 600 year old dad because of his legacy in faithfullness to God and his family first and foremost.
